This is my earliest work, when I first picked up a camera around 2020.
In the April of 2019 when I turned 14, ten days later I tore my left ACL (knee) at a trampoline park and proceeded to get surgery three months later. I was on crutches for the first 6 weeks of my freshman year, an ideal start to high school.
In December of 2021, I tore my right ACL during my high school soccer game. I got surgery a month later and spent 8 weeks non-weight bearing.
This compilation of creative photos I took both during and through this period of time reflects my discovery of photography and the effects I've found: photography and are, or generally creating, fills my soul like a ray of light.
